Calgary accept the deal. I feel at the moment i went backward. But if the 1st Islander become top 3 and even 1st overall then I gotta say it was worth every penny.

If NYI 1st is high, Frank did very well. It will be top 10 for sure. Chris gets value now. Frank gets value at the draft next year. I'm very happy with Vinny for Datsyuk.

Hecht has, quite literally, no value whatsoever. I couldn't even get a decent pick for him. So I moved him for cap, used that Long Island pick, and gained a guy who had an off-year, and two power-forwards who should get the call-up some time in the year, or in Palmieri's case, make the team (if Selanne retires).

I don't know where the Long Island pick will go, but if it's a top-ten pick, that player won't help me in 2012, or 2013. If it's top-three, I'll probably regret it. Hope that doesn't happen

his division is really tough and his conference is tough too. I see NYI being around #7 overall.

we should probably put into the rules that when doing 3 way deals GM need to specify what they gave up..

hard to judge the deal otherwise, yet it's rarely done unless asked.

That would be a dumb rule I think personally please post what you gave up if you want to take the time to judge a trade my personal belief is don't worry about it if the person made the trade they obviously wanted the person they didn't do it for everyone elses liking. Just my thinking I am sure others feel a different way.
