Colin Wilson is EASILY the highest ceiling player in the deal, it wouldn't be a two for one otherwise.

I don't disagree with the overall sentiment that I overpaid, but I told Kareem just moments ago that I think there's a bit of a recent draft enthusiasm that makes Couturier look better than a player who had a considerably higher ceiling in the 2008 draft.

this is a solid point, wilson may have more h2h potiential than those 2 combined


as of now im not even sold beach will be any better than Carcillo, that being said, i still like the deal for kareem.

It's interesting that you and Nick both have said that you don't view Beach as a very strong prospect. I also think it's interesting that Kareem hates Couturier, and traded Wilson for him anyway because there's some sentiment that Couts has a good mind for the game, but not the skills to support it.

i think he's loaded with skill (couturier) probably the most talented in this deal, that said, the more i break down the trade the more i like it for you. (not suggesting you won, i still think kareem did) but i'm not hating it for you anymore either.

it's a classic trade.. slight overpayment for the best player. Colin Wilson is going to be sick. The jury's still out on Beach and Couturier (although I like both prospects upside)

The only thing comparable between Beach and Carcillo is PIMS, Beach is a superior offensive player, and hits more. He is also worst defensively, if you can believe that.

To be clear, I made the deal for Beach, not Couturier, I don't even like Couturier (doesn't mean I will trade him for anything less than massive overpayment).
