I know him, yes....we worked together a long time ago at a golf course, and still talk with him when/if we bump into each other (he spends alot of the summer back home here in the Soo) but I don't really know him enough to call him a good friend I don't think. He is also very good friends with my brother in law, and my dad is pretty good friends with Martys dad.

Ya scary that he is only really a couple of seasons removed from being a elite goalie..But I think he has a few yrs left to be a decent backup still. With Marty tho, I can't see him wanting to go anywhere else except the NHL. From what I hear (from my brother in law actually, so its a good source) he does actually have some interest, from a few teams, but he is having a hard time with accepting being only a back up. Last year he signed in Chicago
with the hope of regaining the starting role...He knows this year he will only be a backup, and is deciding between that or retirement.
