WSH/VAN
Re: WSH/VAN
Confirmed.
I love talking hockey with you Kareem, but this one a tough one between you and I. Glad we got it done with no hard feelings... sort of.

Re: WSH/VAN
Chris got value for sure but IMO this is a massive win for Kareem. RNH in one year, heck in two months, will fetch more.

Love it for Kareem. At least Kareem doesn't need to worry about if is player will be a impact player. Vancouver only got 2nd and 3rd line player.
Massive win for Kareem.
By the way Thx for the sig....

Re: WSH/VAN
What did Nugent-Hopkins go for when Kareem traded him before? I have to imagine he turned a profit here. Not saying Chris didn't get some value in return but I'm sure RNH will only go up in value going forward.
Re: WSH/VAN
Ye, you guys aren't paying enough attending to what Kareem gave up IMO.
Luke Adam is a frigging awesome, one of the easy favourites for ROY.
Brassard, whether the 3piece to the CBJ top line, or somewhere further down the lineup, is still a nice piece, and is super physical for a scoring forward.
Blacker w/e.
However, I'm not the biggest believer in RNH, could definitely be me that's incorrect here.

How does Luke Adam become an easy favourite for ROY when Buffalo has: Roy, Vanek, Pominville, Leino, Boyes, Ennis, Gerbe, Stafford, Gaustad, Hecht, McCormick, Kaleta, Kotalik etc already on their roster?Nick wroteCOLONYe, you guys aren't paying enough attending to what Kareem gave up IMO.

That's 13 NHL forwards. He and Kassian will not be on the team, barring a trade.

Re: WSH/VAN
Because Buffalo's trying to move out one or both of Hecht and Kotalik so Adam can play centre on the 3rd line this year - bumps up in event of injury. Buffalo has little depth down the middle. In fact, i dont see much competition for Adam.
Re: WSH/VAN
Also interesting: Brassard's under contract for another three years at 3.2M. He's also far more physical and has very good upside. RNH will take awhile to acclimate to the pro-game with his size. It's also feasible he's sent back this year. Also note-worthy: I aimed for across the board H2H monsters in Blacker and Adam. Interesting, RNH's upside is Datsyuk - but the points arent going to come so easily.
To say he raped me is laughable.
Troll on, BBKL.

Re: WSH/VAN
my pre-season favourites for ROY:
1. Nino Niederreiter - looked good last year, knowing the gap and getting older should have him ready
2. Erik Gudbranson - was ready last year, now he's ready to be more then good
3. Luke Adam - AHL ROY after an explosion in WJC and 09 CHL, complete player.
4. Brayden Schenn - Insane WHL return, strong AHL, very projectable
5. Blake Geoffrion - Tough having him # 5 as IMO him and #8 Tangradi are physically above the average NHLers
6. Adam Larsson - will be put to the test
7. RNH - opportunity, opportunity, opportunity
8. Eric Tangradi size, opportunity and developed
9. Gabriel Landeskog - older then his year, and opportunity
10. Nazem Kadri - homer pick? but the skills sure is there, is he ready to compete and contribute night to night?
