It is flawed. Burrows alone is worth more than Marleau. Marleau is actually a negative asset as a Center. He ensures you LOSE FOW every single week. Not to mention the 4.9M in cap difference for a very similar stat line.

Marleau: 35 G, 35 A, 20 PIMS, 80 Hits, 160 SHTOI, 275 SOG
Burrows: 25 G, 30 A, 100 PIMS, 80 Hits, 200 SHTOI, 200 SOG

Why am I expending $5M more in cap for 10 Goals and 75 Shots?

As far as FOW is concerned, you're assuming I have no options. if I traded for Marleau, I'd have to retrade him for a Center or a Winger. I'd rather keep Burrows and find a Center that actually gets FOW.

I am not accounting for salary. The values I put forth are based solely on production, not intrinsic value.

The penalty for Marleau being a center is more than accounted for in their production gulf.

Absolutely. But to talk about rankings without salary is silly. And IMO the the difference in production does not merit spending 5M more on cap. It's borderline insanity.
