I would actually break it down as:

Staal = Kopitar
JJ > Markov (even if healthy JJ is the better asset to own going forward due to cap, age etc)
Hornqvist > Prospal
Grabner vs Ladd is a toss up imo. Grabner is a legit threat to hit 40 goals one day. Maybe not this year but next year is possible.
I'm with shiv on this one, and I'd actually go as far to say I prefer Staal over Nopitar

That may be so, but his swap with Shep does not work out without Gormley. And the way to evaluate a three-way is to compare assets going out vs assets coming in overall.

these were 2 separate deals originally. billy and i had ladd for hornqvist and gormley going then shep and i had our whole business.

we turned it into a 3 way so gormley could go to shep which swayed him to make the deal.

Ya, billy landed a young captain of a team that will actually have a crowd behind them this year,

Billy paid a fair price! I like his turnover

and i strongly believe kopitar > staal this season

also, if markov even plays 60 games this year, he will out produce JJ.

It's also cute that Gormley is still considered a future superstar. I thought prospects are prospects, guys?! PROSPECTS > NHL PLAYERS now?! WOW. What a change in GM philosophy when it suits your arguments!

But wait! Kreider is a future superstar too! I should be careful not to trade my future superstars like Kreider for over the hill useless plugs like Korpikoski was probably never drafted in the first round.

No offense, but it is clear from that comment that you don't watch JJ regularly, either that or you don't watch Markov regularly. I'm leaning towards the former though, because JJ really isn't that good, tons of potential though.

Its not that I don't like markov, its that he's made of glass; therefore, JJ is better

80 GP from JJ >> 56 from Markov
