Brendan Gallagher impressing at MTL camp:
Brendan Gallagher created a buzz during Sunday's scrimmage, the Canadiens' official site reports.
Brendan Gallagher scored a goal and assisted on another, showing off his speed and stick-handling ability along the way. He's a smaller player, though isn't afraid to play like he's bigger. "He's showing the organization that while he's not a big player, he has a big heart; he goes to the net, he's not afraid, and he's got great hands. You're thrilled to see one of your young prospects developing like that. In the year-and-a-half that he;s been part of this organization he's proven that he has a lot of character and a lot of determination," added Martin.

Coach Joe Sacco confirming that Lindstrom may be given top 6 duties to start the season, according to CBS:Kezia wroteCOLONNew addition Joakim Lindstrom looking like a possible candidate for top line duties along side Stats and Jones in Colorado.

Coach Joe Sacco feels Joakim Lindstrom is better-suited to playing on one of the Avs' top two lines, according to the Denver Post.
Joakim Lindstrom spent most of training camp skating on a line with Paul Stastny and David Jones, and that's where he looks to start the regular season, according to Sacco. "I wanted to give [Lindstrom] an opportunity with an offensive line, because that's the type of player he is," said Sacco. "I don't foresee him being a third- or fourth-line guy. That's not his role. I thought the [Lindstrom-Stastny-Jones] line, right from the start, had pretty good chemistry and [Lindstrom] certainly played well." Lindstrom signed with Colorado as a free agent in June after leading the Swedish league in scoring last season. He is shaping up to be a great dark-horse fantasy selection this year - don't overlook him on draft day.

Andy Miele scored on his first shift at the pro level, ending the night with a goal and 2 assists.
Re: Random Articles about players from Philadelphia
WOW:
From CBS:
Ryan Shannon could start the season on a line with Marty St. Louis and Steven Stamkos, according to a report in the St. Petersburg Times.
Whoa -- that's what we call a serious upgrade for this small but speedy winger. Coach Guy Boucher appears enamored by the potential havoc the three speed demons could create so the combo will at least be used at some point in games. Ryan Shannon knows he needs to earn that gig. If he does, he could become one of the best sleepers in the draft.

Re: Random Articles about players from Philadelphia
If anyone is drafting someone because of who they *might* play with they are seriously out to lunch. But remember Lee, you are the one who insisted there is no other possibility then for Comrie to play with Sidney on the first line
Re: Random Articles about players from Philadelphia
I don't know about you guys, but I copied Lee's general premise of a News thread and decided to use it to update why I'm smarter than the rest of you. But it's pretty clear Lee's trying to reinforce the notion that Shannon = All-Star = All-Star ReturnNick wroteCOLONIf anyone is drafting someone because of who they *might* play with they are seriously out to lunch. I personally don't give a flying fuck if you guys read this thread. This is for me.

So the "WOW" followed up the news that Ryan Shannon, a fourth line winger for the greater part of his career, is a possibility to start alongside Stamkos and St. Louis was just you updating your diary?Kezia wroteCOLONI personally don't give a flying fuck if you guys read this thread. Re: Random Articles about players from Philadelphia
Don't fucking read it then? Posted what I found on CBS.
Re: Random Articles about players from Philadelphia
Why so defensive? We're having a little fun at your expense. But maybe Shannon turns into the next Cam Neely! YAY!
Re: Random Articles about players from Philadelphia
I read on CBS that Zac Rinaldo makes Danny Carcillo look like a wimp, didn't post it..
Re: Random Articles about players from Philadelphia
Should probably also email or call the writers and editors of the St Pete's Times to tell them how wrong and stupid they are as well.
