I am not a huge fan of the draft myself, having only picked I think like 2 players (both entry and waivers) over the last 2 years, but when you are over the 50 + contract, you need to trim. Now I am at 47 or so players and I have some picks and more importantly some wiggle room to make future trades where I will be able to do a 2 for 1 etc. Also with those picks if cashed in at the right time I do believe I will actually be able to acquire better talent than what I traded away..


P.S there is time to buy picks, and a time to sell. I don't believe I am anywhere near a elite Gm or anything but this is the time to buy. Just a few short weeks ago, there is no way in hell I would of got the picks I got in the last day or so. I put up JVR a while back and was seriously in some cases only getting offered a couple of 1sts. In the last few days (sorry guys I am still not trading him) I have been offered multiple 1sts + decent prospect(s).
