Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Every report I've read suggested the time table was closer to 4.5 than 6 months.
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Bruins press conference tomorrow at 6pm. Rumour is that it's to announce Savard's retirement.

Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
That Pronger injury looked pretty scary and the GM's comments are a bit concerning...
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Yea. The weird part about the update was that Pronger needed "bed rest." For an eye injury? Hey, Neel! Come and educate us.

LOL, sure Nick...It's pretty obvious that this latest development bugs you. Deny it though, no sweat off my back.Nick wroteCOLONwhy does that matter to me? I have them in my money pool together...
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Shit. Now I feel bad for laughing at Pronger for being a little bitch.
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Probably because the impact also affected the head/skull, ruling out concussionCuntacular Chris wroteCOLONYea. The weird part about the update was that Pronger needed "bed rest." For an eye injury? Hey, Neel! Come and educate us.
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Super happy I didn't trade for Pronger now.. thanks to everyone who told Chad he was stupid!
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Yes because injuries to players can be predicted or controlled lol
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
Don't think its a concussion. At the very least he probably has a corneal abrasion, painful injury requires a few days of antibiotics to heal as well (I've seen it in kids who hit themselves in the eye with a marker.. his is likely more severe lol). But I think hes out 2-3 weeks from the sound of it, the whole area is swollen. They are likely waiting for the swelling to go down before making a judgment to see if there was any nerve or muscle damage. He'll likely get checked out daily for now and get a CT or MRI in a few days once the swelling subsides. While the area is that swollen its difficult to see if its impacted his vision, or any of the muscles in/around his eye.
Also since it looks cool here is the test they use to diagnosis corneal abrasions.
.. Well it looks cool to me anyway..

With Pronger they're pretty predictable.Cuntacular Chris wroteCOLONYes because injuries to players can be predicted or controlled lol
Re: NHL Transactions - Injuries and More Injuries
High stick in the eye is predictable...
It's known he'll be taking 'self' days throughout the year due to a sore/stiff back or a nagging wrist...but without checking the # last year was an aberration in a career of 70+ GP.

I laughed until I saw the replay. Then I felt bad.Mike wroteCOLONShit. Now I feel bad for laughing at Pronger for being a little bitch.
It was also a tad disheartening hearing him screaming on the ice like he was, he is very tough after all.
