Regarding Gordon, has he been significantly better this season? He didn't do anything special fantasy-wise last year. Not a comment on the deal as a whole, too big to make a worthwhile comment about.

IMO B.Richards is a different realm of player then Weiss.

In the NHL you have an easy argument. In BBKL, I'd easily take Weiss over Richards.

Guess it depends on what you judge then. Real life its obviously no contest (though I do think Weiss is one of the most underrated players in hockey), but it's reasonably close in h2h, richards has the edge, but he also makes close to 7 million in cap.

You also need to consider that Stephen Weiss is one of my favourite players in the hockey, so that factors heavily into my evaluation of the two.

He's been a beast, he leads the NHL in faceoff%, has been taking a shitload of draws (defensive zone, late in games, pk etc.), playing the top pk unit, getting some bs and hits, and even scoring a bit on the Yotes third line. Think David Steckel on the Leafs, that's the type of player Boyd Gordon has been on PHX.

Cool. Have seen him play a few games, and he's looked good. Also look forward to seeing a statistically significant sample ~10 games down the road.
