Re: General Hockey Talk/Vids
They obviously won't be cellar dwellers for long, but I'm a firm believer that the Bruins are a mediocre group if Tim Thomas is anything less than Vezina caliber, and have told Nick as much earlier in the season.
Re: General Hockey Talk/Vids
Well, Mediocre wins cups apparently. Go Chiarelli...

Re: General Hockey Talk/Vids
Nothing mediocre about Thomas last season, best goalie on the planet. The Carolina Hurricanes won under similar circumstances with Cam Ward, I didn't think that team was anything to write home about either.
The Bruins team that should have won was the 09 roster, IMO that was the best team in the NHL that year, and one of the best since the lockout. Last years team...Meh.

Re: General Hockey Talk/Vids
I can't really disagree about last years team skill wise. They just had amazing work ethic and chemistry on the set lines. It just worked. They had a mix of grit and skill and had an excellent system with very crisp passing. Not so much this year. They were by no means a 1 or 2 line team. Just an example of a very balanced team on all 4 lines that would come at you every shift. That wears teams down. When you can start your 4th line against any top teams 1st, you can use that as a major advantage. And of course throw in record setting goaltending.....
Re: General Hockey Talk/Vids
My fuck the flames are one horrible looking team. Why in Gods name have they not sold the farm like Ottawa did last year? Look at the payoff. the turn around is not that long. suck it up and fix your shitty system and shitty team. I would lose my mind being a Flame fan...

What the punch? I'm fairly confident I'd have already cross checked him.
Re: General Hockey Talk/Vids

Good fucking quote. I remember Steve going on about Seguin, yet he owns him and refuses to trade him to me...grr...Don't blame him though He is going to be anything from a bust in this league.

Re: General Hockey Talk/Vids
Yeah Seguin is a stud, I would have taken him #1 in August of 2009, and I still would today. That said, I don't regret the Kessel trade for a minute.
Re: General Hockey Talk/Vids
Totally agree. That trade is turning out to be one of the more equal trades in a long time. Benefited both teams, imo. Kessel is turning out to be a stud and Seguin is molding into a great 2 way center. Situation looked lopsided by a few at time of trade but 2 years later looks pretty sweet for both teams.

Agreed, though if Hamilton is as good as alot of people think he is it may end up as a lopsided trade, lol.mr. bruin wroteCOLONTotally agree.
