i went to the ottawa WJC with the pietrangelos. had never met alex before then but knew his older brother.

we sat with all the other families at the games and there was this smooookin blonde, like not super hot, but really cute, like a nice hot/cute blend. i figured she was one of the players' sisters which was a fuckin bonus in my eyes.

then dave told me it was alex's girlfriend. i cried.

Went to Anna McCrae (?) elementary school with Tyler, good group of us called him pig face, and he didn't stand out in hockey... Drew & Blair jarret - drafted iirc, 3 generations with NHL contracts or someshit- Ryan harden (northern ontario rink for curling and top 10 ranked in the world, and matt irving - no clue what he's doing nowMom reminds me occasionally that if I was even a little bit nicer i could have a friend that's an NHLer (she was friends with his mom and heard second hand all the bs we did; in the words of ari gold- deny till you die!! ).

But then again, I moved away in grade 9 - I gather around the time that Max PAC got big and jacked and the d'agostini brothers switched which one was good in a single off-season. Weird shit happens in hockey development in that transition to manhood.
