Re: Trade: MTL/NJD
Sigh. Scott and I were in a bidding war all day over this. My offer was:
To Montreal: Jamie Langenbrunner + Paul Martin + Ray Emery
To PIT: Mason + Stempniak
I may be a little biased here but I think my offer >> scott's.
btw scott. you beat me to Mike Green also .
on the bright side one good thing came out of this. Scott was initially going to get Halak + two 2nds in 2011 for Boyes + 1st in 2011. I made him pay way more than initially.

LOL shiv you would think that, you wouldn't know the point of having draft picks or prospects would you? Chuck did very well in his deal, and just because he didn't go your way, you feel the need to post this? hahahaha. Suck it up princess, these things happen.

Has everyone given up on mason? nice work here scott, I think you have an elite number one in mason and a guy in a postion to thrive in Bergfors. I understand why chuck did it having two number one goalies, I just feel that mason is a stud worth more than he got lol.

LOL if you understood simple addition and subtraction it wouldnt be as black and white. and half the reason i was in there was to make scott pay more than he was going to initially (boyes + 1st for mason + two 2nds). but you wouldnt understand that either.Mashley93 wroteCOLONSuperMario wroteCOLONSigh. oh don't get me wrong bry i totally agree that Mason could be a stud, I just hate when people post on threads in attempt to make the person in the trade feel like crap for doing it.

Re: Trade: MTL/NJD
Fair, and I agree with you that scotts package is better than shivs lol. Chuck did better than the real MTL gm in trading goalies thats for sure.

When I traded the 12th overall pick, I had lots of offers, including a good one from Scott, when I made the trade, Scott didn't come to the fourms and annouce his offer in attempt to make me feel like i'm stupid. If you didn't mean to do this then fine its understandable but this is 100% how you came across.

Re: Trade: MTL/NJD
jumping to conclusions isnt good. the reason i posted was because chuck and i were having an extended debate about which deal was better. and he opted for scotts deal saying several gms agreed with him. i was curious as to why. i already knew most people thought scotts was better. lol i also wanted to point out that i have now lost two bidding wars to scott.Mashley93 wroteCOLONSuperMario wroteCOLONi didn't realize discussing possible trades was wrong on these forums.Mashley93 wroteCOLON

3 gms agree with you so far. im sure there are more. but i dont see how its that black and white.Snipeshow wroteCOLON Scott's offer is way better.
Re: Trade: MTL/NJD
Shiv I have traded with you plenty and I would have to say that I like Scotts deal better and it works well for what Chuck needs.
Re: Trade: MTL/NJD
Ray Emery is the wildcard in Shiv's deal just cause his career may be done.
But the pieces of Shiv's deal are better IMO, Scott gave up Boyes who hasn't achieved much in recent years, Greene and a low first.
But I guess it depends what your trying to achieve.

recent year, not years, two years ago he was over 30 goals and over 70pts.

Granted, but his fantasy appeal is only in goals and assists etc. hes a liability on +/- as well. But everyone looks at it differently I guess, I see the value in both deals.Mashley93 wroteCOLONinferno31 wroteCOLONRay Emery is the wildcard in Shiv's deal just cause his career may be done.

fak me. scott gives up three pieces of value, but not pieces to 'want' and gets two awesome pieces!!!
i don't like either offer...LOL... but scott's was better no question
