Josh landed a 1st because of Stalberg. The deal for Kronwall - Suter was 1-1... Besides a 2013 1st from Long Island does not = LaRose or Umberger, that is a mid round pick at best in next years draft, that pick has very little value. A top 11-15 pick in this years draft doesn't even get you Larose, but asset management like that likely explains why you have never beaten me in the past.

You have proven time and time again that your talk is bigger than your walk, and it's the same reason you weren't voted as a top 10 GM, you are just like Ryan Suter in this league, overrated. All that aside though, this is a pretty lopsided win for Shep, he got the superior defenceman at a much cheaper cap hit moving forward, and the best forward in the deal, all he forfeited to achieve this was a mid round 1st pick in 2013, there isn't a rationale manager in this league who would have turned down this deal form Shep's perspective.

Keep the insults coming though, it's funny coming from a guy no one takes seriously.

Wow this thread has spiraled out of control in a hurry. And for the record Kareem you never offered me that trade. Maybe you intended to or something but it never reached me. And Suter >> Liles, as you say he's missing the SHTOI and the whole point in BBKL is to stock up on players who hit the max number of cat's, so a player who hits more cat's in a significant way is more valuable plain and simple. It's kinda annoying when GM's say they had a better offer or would have made a better offer after a trade is done, because its easy to say that but another thing to have made the offer. That is all I'm saying, like my trade or not don't say you made a better offer when you did not.

No, I made that offer, and several others for Niklas Kronwall, he was a player of interest, and I made that known early. However you made it clear that Max Pacioretty + JM Liles was the only trade you would make. You are correct in pointing out that Ryan Suter is more valuable than JM Liles, but that was not the offer. The offer was Liles in addition to one of Larose or Umberger, and that offer is significantly greater than Suter alone on a stats basis, and I would argue on a value basis as well, but that is a subjective analysis.

Furthermore, do not put me into the latter category, I made you an offer, and you chose to accept a lesser one. That is your prerogative, but don't act like I didn't make an offer because I did, several in fact.
