NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Brendan Smith called up. Finally. I can rest happily knowing he's going to get his games now.

Nashville is a very solid team top to bottom. Lots of guys who can score 20 goals, and everybody is defensively responsible, and one of the best goalies in the NHL I think they are a very serious team in the west at this point.

bah, at least 6 or 7 teams have more chances to win it all imo.
They are a solid team, fortunately that's usually not enough to beat the very bests.

lol now deals becoming public 45 minutes after deadlin expiration?
i'll take it if it makes this deadline less dull.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Hodgson has abandoned Vigneault as Vancouver's only member of the Liev Schreiber lookalikes club.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
On the other hand, I think Kassian is just the perfect fit for Vancouver... They are now solid down the center with Pahlsson addition, and Kassian as a gritty skillful winger that could do some serious damage along with Jannik Hansen, who might like him as a wing partner. They've been shuffling Kesler and Hodgson with 2nd and 3rd line wingers lately, now that problems gone with Pahlsson securing checking line center and Kesler back to line 2.

45 minutes, for quite a big deal (out of the blue) of a Canadian team? can't remember that

love carter ashton, love the deal!
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I'm not a big fan of Hodgson..always thought he was more of a dominant junior player but his games doesn't translate well to the pro game. It might also be the fact that the 10-12 times I watched him live, I was comparing him to Duchene.

Kris Letang left the game against the Stars tonight following a head shot from Eric Nystrom, the early report out of Pittsburgh is that Letang has a concussion.

Effort was their, just finding ways to lose games. Not sure why Frattin did the fly by on Hossa there, most of the game he was looking for a good hit.
I personally see no value in JmL's play of late.
