so. early winners of the 2010 nhl draft (not who picked in the bbkl).


I really think the Islanders picked smart, excellent choices.

The Ducks benefited from some bizarre selections by other GM's.

The Panthers had a ton of picks and used them extremely well.

and, sad to say, the bruins got some top end forward talent in Seguin & Knight.


After Taylor I'm not a fan of the Oiler's selections.

I actually love the oilers picks aside from Martindale who imo is a waste of talent. Ducks got the fallers so if you go by rankings they slayed. Nyi might have stolen the draft if kubanov gets hit shit together. Of the charts tho and this wont surprise anyone I really like detroit. Sheahan Jankrok and Pulkkinen are all guys I really like...way to stick your neck out there bry and pick detriot the best drafting team lol but ya I like the guys they got alot!

They (the Wings) are actually below average in the first 3 rounds IMO... its those later rounds where they get too many NHL level+++ hockey players from.


Obviously I'm with McGuire, Button & McKenzie in that Cam & Emmerson make the Ducks the early winners, especially value wise. This passing of the torch from Scottie to Cam is exciting, might be a majorly neat story a few years from now; and the first Cali boy selected by a Cali team, another neat story a few years from now!

Slather could look like a genius if McIlrath >>>> Fowler, Gormley, Pysyk & Forbert ... but honestly I'd put 2:1 money that @ least one of them makes him look full retard.

gormley makes him look full retard imo franchise dman right there. the fact that mcilrath was one of the players that the nucks deal was based on says he took him too early. If he loves him fair take the extra picks and draft later on in the round. Schwartz as well. I was huge on him coming into the draft but I would not have taken him @ 14. If they didnt redeem themselves and trade for tarasenko at 16 I would say JD had to have been drunk that day.
