Scott's BBKL Power Rankings
Scott's BBKL Power Rankings
This is how I rank everyone.
1. Los Angeles Kings - Best of the West.. and likely BBKL. Team MVP: Jaro Halak/Brian Elliott
2. Washington Capitals - Beast of the East.. tough road but could represent the East in the finals. Team MVP: Pekka Rinne
3. Ottawa Senators - A lot of us underrated how good this team really is. Team MVP: Alex Pietrangelo
4. Toronto Maple Leafs - If healthy.. will be VERY tough to beat. Team MVP: Erik Karlsson
5. New Jersey Devils - Lowest ranking ever? Team MVP: Steven Stamkos
6. Tampa Bay Lightning - Heckle and Jyde team. Unstoppable one week, easily beatable the next. Team MVP: Claude Giroux
7. Pittsburgh Penguins - Late season surge to make the 8th spot. Will not be beaten easily. Team MVP: Alex Edler
8. Boston Bruins - Still a powerhouse but the RL Bruins look human again.. could be a tough playoffs for the BBKL B's. Team MVP: Tim Thomas/Tuukka Rask
9. Chicago Blackhawks - Where as the offense went? Star power team underachieving. Team MVP: John Tavares
10. Minnesota Wild - Biggest surprise of the year. 2nd in the West but how? The playoffs should show how many holes this team has. Team MVP: Jordan Eberle
11. Colorado Avanlanche - Management hasn't stepped up and made this team better. Finals last year but unlikely this season. Team MVP: Henrik Lundqvist
12. St. Louis Blues - Powerhouse one week, rebuilder the next. The future looks awfully bright though. Team MVP: Dan Girardi
13. Columbus Blue Jackets - They need Sid in a bad way..
14. Buffalo Sabres - Always getting underrated.. nothing new for this team. Gave the powerful Devils a scare last season in the playoffs. Don't count them out. Team MVP: Marc-Andre Fleury
15. San Jose Sharks - Very silent all year on the trade front. Shouldn't be an easy knock off but I don't expect much from this team in the post-season. Team MVP: Zdeno Chara
16. New York Rangers - This team looks primed for the post-season.. in 2015/2016 Team MVP: Ilya Kovalchuk
17. Nashville Predators - Lucky this team is in the West. Offense seems to come from 2 players. Team MVP: Evgeni Malkin
18. Edmonton Oilers - Really liked the new additions by this team lately. Should be a lot better next season with a few more additions. Team MVP: Jason Pominville
19. Anaheim Ducks - Needs a big C and some stability in net. I might be generous with this ranking. Team MVP: Jonas Gustavsson/James Reimer
20. New York Islanders - Periph beast. Needs some scoring to be considered a legit playoff threat. Brad Richards was an excellent start. Team MVP: Cam Ward
21. Phoenix Coyotes - Slowly but surely, this team is improving. Will be interesting to see what Mash does in the off season to get this team to the playoffs. Team MVP: Kevin Bieksa
22. Vancouver Canucks - Young team.. the future is bright. Should be interesting to see what direction Chris takes next season. Add vets to get there or develop and stay the course next season? Team MVP: Oliver Ekman-Larsson
23. Montreal Canadiens - Some great pieces and a lot of futures. The current actual starting roster doesn't have a chance in hell but it's really only a matter of time with all those future assets. Team MVP: Carey Price
24. Calgary Flames - Solid all around team. A lot of injuries this year. Josh at the wheel finally gives Calgary a GM that fans can count on. I expect this team to fight for 7th or 8th in the West next season. Team MVP: Steve Mason
25. Detroit Red Wings - I might be going out on a limb here but I feel GM Shoalzie will have this team in playoff contention next season. Shoalzie is one of the best bargain shoppers in BBKL. Team MVP: Nikolai Khabibulin/Devan Dubnyk
26. Dallas Stars - Peter loves to trade. Guys who love to trade usually get better.. and quickly. I expect Peter to be a force in a little while. Has done a great job since taking over. Team MVP: Cody Hodgson
27. Carolina Hurricanes - Put done the fucking pipe man.. you seem to take 1 step forward, then 2 steps back. This Carolina team is probably the best it's been since GM Foolama had Carolina make the 8th spot in 2009/2010. Team MVP: Ed Jovanovski
28. Philadelphia Flyers - Very solid, young team. Years away from competing but GM Lee is finally rebuilding properly. Team MVP: Ondrej Pavelec
29. Florida Panthers - I feel bad ranking Chris this low because he's such a great guy and seems to know his shit. At least he has his 1st this year and next! Team MVP: Craig Anderson
30. Winnipeg Jets - Progressively getting worse each year. Inactivity has been his biggest issue but his future assets are a plenty. Should be picking high in the next 2-3 drafts. Team MVP: Matt Duchene
1. Los Angeles Kings - Best of the West.. and likely BBKL. Team MVP: Jaro Halak/Brian Elliott

Love the rankings. Obviously there will always be disagreements, and being way to lazy to write my own I'll just enjoy it.
Good read.

lolMSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI think I'm ranked too low, but I appreciate the work nonetheless.
Re: Scott's BBKL Power Rankings
Love the list but just to pick on minor details, I would say Steve Mason is the furthest thing from being Josh's team MVP, someone like Leddy or Desharnais would make more sense, but nonetheless these are very fun to read good job.
Re: Scott's BBKL Power Rankings
I thought about those guys but they seemed like no's to me. Simply because they haven't been on Josh's team very long. I wanted to pick guys who were on their team for more then a few weeks is all.canuckspk wroteCOLONLove the list but just to pick on minor details, I would say Steve Mason is the furthest thing from being Josh's team MVP, someone like Leddy or Desharnais would make more sense, but nonetheless these are very fun to read good job.
