Waiver Rule?
If we have any players over the max roster size of 20 + 3 extras, do they have to clear waivers to be sent down before the season starts? or can we send people up and down as we please in the off season?
Re: Waiver Rule?
It feels like we've gone over this a bunch.
??
Waiver eligibility: Any player who is over 21 years of age & has played in more then 150 games needs to clear waivers (up or down). Waiver eligibilities are retroactive to the beginning of the season.
Please make sure any moves do not put you over the cap or your team will be punished!
Roster Positions (Max/Min) are as follows:
Roster Players Maximum:
3 to 5 Centers
7 to 9 Wingers
6 to 7 Defenseman
2 Goalies
The Total Must be at least 18 and no more than 20.
Examples:
3 Centers
9 Wingers
6 Defenseman
2 Goalies
Total 20
5 Centers
7 Wingers
6 Defenseman
2 Goalies
Total 20
4 Centers
6 Wingers
7 Defenseman
1 Goalie
Total 18
As you can see for the total to be 18 you can be below the 3 centers, 7 wingers, 6 Defenseman, 2 Goalies numbers assigned for maximums.
However you must still meet season end minimum player game and goalie game requirements. These are week to week requirements.
**You can set your lineup per matchup.. ie, once a week**

Re: Waiver Rule?
yea I think we have went over it a lot. Look at it like this: Assume every player you acquire in the offseason is on your active roster. Disregard the 23 max during offseason. Then when roster submission time comes, you must decide who you will keep on your active roster and who you will have to expose to waivers to put in your minor system (if they are eligible)
note* I think it was decided that players acquired through waiver draft could be placed in minors without penalty initially? This is correct i believe. Everyone else is based on the rules of eligibility.

Also, everyone remember that if you claim a player that has been exposed to waivers you cannot just assign him to your minors.. he'll need to be apart of your 23 man roster. He'll need to clear waivers to go to your minors
Re: Waiver Rule?
spot on explanation/expansion guys.
if you picked a player in the waiver draft you need to declare him in the minors or up in the show before the roster submission date.
picking a player on waivers means they stay on the side they were entered on.

Re: Waiver Rule?
I still don't understand why we can't start vets in the minors.

Re: Waiver Rule?
When will waiver/entry draft picks be updated in CBS? Does the system do it or do we do it manually? I can volunteer if need be ...
Re: Waiver Rule?
basically we wait and see who is actually added to the cbs system, then once they've finished adding new players, we claim those ones ourselves (you can see if they exist currently or not and simply 'sign' them)
after that we send scott/mike/matt a list of guys who we need to make place-holders for.
