ye, I cannot blame kules for dodging a 4 year deal at that rate... was pretty sure he would have wanted closer to 3 if we wanted more term.

i think we dodged a HUGE bullet. Why did kulemins agent not ask: how is armstrong is worth 3 and kulemin is worth 2.35

Proven track record, more grit, more leadership, UFA not RFA... Colby put up those #'s in a true 3rd line role, Kules put up similar season totals, but almost solely with top end line-mates (10 or 11 game pt streak I believe).
Cannot compare RFA to UFA, and really, Kulemin is a unique case IMO... even @ 2.35M we are expecting him to play like the final 20 and not the previous 131 games for us.
