I was offering you 2 NHLers since Murphy has been been up for a while now too. I offered Olsen +McCabe+1st privately earlier and was told he is worth more.

We disagree on the definition of "NHLers". I do not consider Harrold an NHLer. Nor do I consider Murphy one yet.

I realize it's frustrating. But we think alike. An offer like that looks better than it is because there are so many pieces coming my way. But if I pieced it together and even tried to get a guy like Polak back, I wouldn't be able to.

"Tearing it down" cannot be done at the expense of giving up the ability to build it back up. A lot of teams have fallen victim to that trap around here including the last GM of your Buffalo team. Which is why I am taking my time here.

Feel free to shoot me any ideas.

Not sure how Harrold isn't an NHLer at this point. He is averaging 19min a game and on a 2 year one way contract paying him 800K a year. All other points are fair.

Harrold is a fringe 7-8th dman that acts as pluggish as possible in any other situations except for when playing for a sad team like NJD which has to force 19+min of ice time per game on a guy like harrold. thats what he means

Shhhh Paul he is amazing.

NJ is playing him more than, Fayne, Larsson, Volchenkov and Merrill so their coaching staff obviously trusts him and thinks he is an NHL caliber D or they wouldnt have offered him more than league minimum for multiple years. I know he isn't very good though and didn't think he was a big piece of the offer it was just fulfilling the requirement of NHLer.

Im talking about for the 13-14 season not for the last 7 games, wouldn't lie about something dumb like his ice time.

Sorry Lee.

No offence but your valuations on your players are terrible. The number of times you have asked for too much for your guys only to have them plummet in value a month later is exceeded only by Paul.

1 week ago: Hey Lee, Morrow or a 1st in 2014 + Colaiacovo for Ranger
This week: Ranger scratched for the second straight game, Leafs play their best game of the season
In 3 Weeks: Ranger traded/waived/scratched for 20 straight games.

Story of Lee's life.

Nopity. I like Vrbata but it would take a significant piece on top to get Sharpie.

A piece I wouldn't add. Very similar stats actually and 2.9 in Cap space. Don't feel that needs an add.

Definitely understand your argument but we disagree. Thanks though!

I knew you would say no. I just offered as I was planning on making an offer of vrbata + for sharp earlier this week but decided against it after running the numbers. Was fresh on the brain.
