I never understand who is eligible by the age criteria, but is this Halliday kid not eligible for our draft in 2023? Or will he age out before then? Just double checking.

I believe 2022 was his last entry draft eligible year so he then reverts to the following waiver draft

Arizona's time expires at 9:23 a.m. It seems realistic think we can get through the final 3 picks today.

If the 48th pick is made before midnight tonight, all other unused pick can be until midnight. Then the draft would be officially closed.

Free agency claims would begin tomorrow at noon.

We have to be at max 50 contracts with the claim, but do we have to be max 90 players?

Sorry, did I read that right? We can claim 2023 draft eligible players if they have an NHL contract after submissions?

For free agent pickups, what if we're under 50 contracts but the pick up puts us over 90 reserves. Illegal?

max players is 90, so I would say yes.

No. They join the pool of players available for "it" with it here being the entry draft.

You can claim a free agent even if you're over 90 players...you just can't go over 50 contracts. You can obviously drop unsigned players to get back to 90 players.

You have until October 4 to drop signed players to get down to 50 but you can't add more through free agency.
