I almost think we need to start including waiver draft picks on CBS so they're easy to keep track.

I've mentioned it to Scott, but with the not being 100 percent sure if the waiver draft will be held next year ( same as this year), adding assets that may not be used may not be a good idea.

With that said, I think it would be a good idea. Maybe only make it 2 rounds.

The waiver draft does serve a purpose. There really is no good way to add players that sign from Europe or college and when we drop guys, it allows other teams an opportunity to possibly upgrade their depth. If we didn't do this anymore...imagine the chaos when we could start claiming guys. To me, this is how we scoop up the players that "fall through the cracks". I don't know if we have 3 rounds worth of viable players available...I'm in agreement that we should just go down to 2 rounds going forward.

If we wanted to make this a true waiver draft, instead of dropping guys before hand...we all submit a protected and unprotected list and allow the possibility of more guys to be exposed. If you lose a guy, you can pull a guy back in from the unprotected list. I wasn't here when the league started but I think that's how the first waiver draft probably went. It's almost a way to keep teams from hoarding talent without consequence. Also, we don't have a traditional draft where everyone picks...you can have it where a team can decline or pass on a pick. I think the trading of waiver picks should also come to an end...and in turn, you might not necessarily need to include the waiver picks on CBS.

Yeh we all protected like 30 guys or something. I forget the exact number.

and why the hell should a team be punished for loading talent?

might as well do this a 30 men roster league then.. which i would have never joined in the first place!
