I just waiting to see how many more stupid things Kareem has to say.

1. We don't need Stamkos or Crosby, we just need to ice a better team (LOL)
2. Our team on paper is miles ahead of any other team (not true at all)
3. Tibula instead of Tibia (LOL)
4. Not understanding that there are complications to any injury. It's not just a fracture vs. not fracture and there could be a variation here from which Stamkos is back for the Olympics

Correct.
SuperMario wroteCOLONAnyways, I hope Stamkos has a 6-8 week timetable.
And I hope Dave Bolland is ready for the Leafs next game against Minnesota.
This is an overconfident, and a dangerous assumption coupled by the fact that you wanna troll shiv. There isn't anybody in canadas roster that can replace sidney crosby no matter how deep our talent pool is

Before crosbys emergence the last decade and a half, we had mario leading the way with sakic in 2002. The olympic before that in 98 we still had gretzky + sakic etc in his prime. Without crosby it would be stamkos as the next best thing
Claude Giroux, Ryan Getzlaf, Logan Couture, Patrice Bergeron, Matt Duchene, Joe Thornton, Jason Spezza, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Brad Richards, Mike Richards, Tyler Seguin is still miles better than anything any other country can have. The Canadian team doesn't have to replace Stamkos or Crosby with an equal talent, they just need to ice a roster better than any other nation.

People like to play up the competition, but the truth is that the only thing that can beat Team Canada is themselves, they are light years better than every other team in the world.
This may be one of the most idiotic things you have ever said. USA, Sweden, Russia all have incredible rosters. And to call us light years better than every other nation is naive at best, uneducated at worst.

if you meant fibula then no, it would not take nearly that long. elderly people often break their fibulas and don't even realize it.

fibula recovery we're talking weeks, tibia we're talking months.

A fractured tibula takes 4-6 months to recover from, I think it's fairly safe to say that he will miss the Olympics, assuming that is the injury.

1) there is no such bone in human body part called tibula
2) if u by chance meant fibula., it is the thin leg bone on the lateral aspect of each leg, which should take upwards of 2-4 months to heal fully. Tibia, which is the thick bine on the medial aspect of each legs at least 2-3 times thicker in diameter than fibula may take longer than 4-6 months to fully heal but they will never be perfectly fused and unionized til about a years time

But anyway i sort of* agree with ur last post kareem. There were so many new posts delivered btwn the time it took me to finish my post on this stupid smartphone
Is it a broken fibula that takes 2-4 months to heal, or a fractured fibula? If so, how long does a fractured fibula typically take to heal?

I understand what kareems trying to say with regarda to icing better roster. Without crosby or stamkos we are nore than capable of dressing a competent roster, but without them, i just dont think we will achieve any sort od success, at least as indicated historically. Torino 06 roster got us literally nowhere. U see how sweden repeatedly are able to ice such fundamentally sound roster every international competition and we look at our international ice-incompetent roster and wonder but the fact that canada has boatload of talent with or without crosby, that extra edge we get out of thsi generational type player in crosby is the least we need to have to even the playing field against sweden/finland

If that is the case, can we reasonably rule out fibula as the cause of injury? Stamkos seemed to be in a great deal of pain.

Ah, nothing more logical to say so you've resorted to an emotional response like a woman (Kareem's back everyone!).

Team Canada is definitely better with them than without them, but I don't see any team beating Team Canada even without them. Their talent pool is loaded.

"broken" or 'fractured" essentially mean the same. Usually when we say fractured in xray, it also accompanies a term "displacement" of the bone which is to say degree of alignment/dislocation/separation from its norml original position. Broken is more a layments term which still refer to a bone that has been cracked/fractured, but may or may not have been displaced. A tiny micro hairline fracture with no displacement of the bone my plainly be referred to as a broken bone.

Tib or fib both take severak months with varying timetable for healing as anton indicated. It also depends on whether or not hardware must be inserted via surgery

The point isn't whether Team Canada can win without them - Obviously they can, any pedestrian fan can tell you that.

The point is that a player like Stamkos improves your odds of winning with him. To just shrug off his loss and say we don't "need" him discounts that critical fact.

@aaronward_nhl: Source, Steven Stamkos has broken tibia. Told will require surgery. #TSN

That is actually very informative, thanks for the insight.

fibula = little one

tibia = big one

he broke his tibia and it appears he will need surgery and some hardware. 6 months is probably a best case scenario.

A year ago I probably would have continued this discussion further, but I've come to realize that nothing I say can possibly embarrass you any more than the things you say yourself.
If you weren't constantly making statements like this to redeem your ego, it may have actually been possible to have a discussion on the topic. Instead you keep saying nonsense and reacting emotionally. Anyways, good talk as usual
