NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I love Shiv's passion for BBKL.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Yeah its interesting how active and passionate this can get for some but..
BBKL is probably as good of an outlet for applying our love of/knowledge for hockey that any of us will ever have,
so it makes sense.

BTW, did you guys see how Ehrhoff's goal went in? Through the hole in Gunnarsson's skate?

Dreger reports "leafs interested in Kulikov, Fla interested in Gardiner"
a possible flip maybe?
a possible flip maybe?
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Like lots have said here. Perhaps we should wait u til he is utilized properly before we move him
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Fire Carlyle and then see how Gardiner is used with a coach that appreciates puck movement and control. Punching faces is nice and all but...
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Also, no Nurse on the roster for Canada? No Morin (selfishly I hoped, but I realize he shouldn't be there really).

Ya, oiler fans are flipping out...I'm a big nurse fan, turned down lots of good offers on him.thom54 wroteCOLONAlso, no Nurse on the roster for Canada? No Morin (selfishly I hoped, but I realize he shouldn't be there really).
I read some guys who were left off: Domi, Nurse were the 2 bigger names that stuck out.

i dont think Jake is the problem - i think Randy's system was short lived here.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Should never have been hired. I had hoped for Beadreau ...but they hung onto wilson a bit too long for that. Would have been a freakin PERFECT match.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONI agree,thom54 wroteCOLONFire Carlyle and then see how Gardiner is used with a coach that appreciates puck movement and control. On the flip side though, it's going to be a lot of fun to see Reinhart and Mcdavid both on the team (assuming theyve made it)Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONYa, oiler fans are flipping out...I'm a big nurse fan, turned down lots of good offers on him.thom54 wroteCOLONAlso, no Nurse on the roster for Canada? i wonder when Nonis will clue in and fire Randy?thom54 wroteCOLONShould never have been hired. I had hoped for Beadreau ...but they hung onto wilson a bit too long for that. do you think it happens this year? I actually dont think Nonis ever really liked the hiring. Any time you have a coach who gets run out by his stars (see Getz, Ryan, lupul and Perry in Ana.) it's never a good idea to bring him onto a team with young players.
heck, Randy even needed to do damage control when he started here - with Lupul.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I don't think Nonis will fire Randy until it's really far in (when Nonis thinks his job is at risk). I truly do not like what Nonis has done for the most part. I had actually thought he wasn't in the dogma that he appears to profess. Burke for all his bluster, and blatantly ridiculous hard rules about certain issues (contracts and CBA "loopholes"), made a few great trades with insight (JVR first and foremost).
Still... fuck Cliff Fletcher.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
lol, Oilers fans were also flipping out last season when someone was so brave (and knowledgeable) to tell them Brodin was clearly ahead of Klefbom..Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONYa, oiler fans are flipping out...thom54 wroteCOLONAlso, no Nurse on the roster for Canada? Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Lol klefbom was injured all last season
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
amazing how he still managed to play like 15 games!
but seriously, it was 2 seasons ago now that i think about it... as it was obviously before Brodin entered the NHL. The argument was over after that (-> last season was already put to silence).

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
btw, looking at that signature, it seems Sharp got depressed for being traded to Carolina
