People can say what they want about Will's trade of McDavid last year...he got a bundle of picks and assets. He's going to be alright. This could be a big draft for him.

This. Seriously, we don't need a month to do a damn draft. Who wants to be held hostage all day for a couple of picks to be made in a day anyway? Even so, first Monday in June gives us nearly 3 weeks to get it done and was completed as such last season with long lulls in the draft.

Your old position in the standings would've gotten you the 3rd overall so it kinda was a win-win. Definitely the luck of the draw.
