Within 2 yrs one or both circumstances will b true for those guys. Essentially i want them for gp purposes. Rakell imo has just as long of a career galch will (unsure on numbers)

Griess is a late bloomin "starter" who prolly wudnt be if halak didnt shit the bed last 1.5 calendar years (nobody knows why... all signs pointed to him having an allstar career...) therefore always a risk he doesnt become a starter one yr

Basically i am paying u my 1st 2019 to rent these three assets (greiss seid may) for the next 2 yrs. Have rakells development meanwhile and at the same time, have pleasure in selecting a prospect of ur choice by that time with the pick. Thought it actually helped u clean house and consolidate on ur end.

To me it's telling that he gets a shorter deal. It tells me the team isn't confident enoygh in his abilities to give him a big long term contract.
