MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONIt's hard not to like Francisco Lindor too, he is compared to Yunel Escobar with the slic defense, and ability to hit for avg, and get on base with some pop. The major difference is speed, Yunel is average in this respect, Lindor by comparison is a plus runner.
Lindor is also a switch hitter.

Are there any Canadians that the Jays should take in the first round?
Not really, the top arms and position players in this class are South American/American.
South American? lol

We did draft the top rated Canadian this year in the 4th round. Thomas Robson. 17 year old from BC. 6'4 - 200 lbs pitcher..lots of projectability.

What's wrong with that? There are a ton of South American players who were in the college, and even the HS ranks, or of South American descent.

Best player in baseball right now. The guy is simply unbelievable. The last player I saw dominate like this was Barry Bonds.

this deal is kinda going to put a bigger risk on banking on the already weak bullpen we have by ridding frasor and Dotel though. Tallet CAN be a reliable RP but I don't know if the tradeoff may be worth the difference. Rasmus wasn't doing too hot after a little hot streak early in the season but certainly another young talent with better things to come hopefully. Let's just hope that his dad doesn't come on the field telling Farrell what to do with his son.

It is far easier to strengthen a BP in the offseason, than it is to strengthen the CF position. Besides, we have some good arms on the farm that I'm sure can fill in the gap moving forward.
