Fuck the Bruins. I've been waiting for this day and it may not be here yet, but I see it coming soon. I was shocked when they traded Boychuk.

It's also amazingly clear how valuable Chara is after this stretch. People go off about Bergeron and Krejci and Lucic so often but without Chara they are all not nearly as comfortable as they normally are.

On a side note, I've been incredibly resistant to jump on the "Leafs will make the playoffs this year" mentality...but man, tough not to get excited after the last game/how we've been playing.

Bruins look like shit! I never watched the Leaf game and shut the game off and watched football last night. Its like they forget how to pass and have emotion when Krejci is not around. They are a 500 team right now and i dont see much changing. Chara's knee is a huge question mark. Chiarelli made a few too many trades and the team is on the downward side of its peak. Oh well, the domination was fun for the last few years and exciting to get a cup but i think the Glory days may be over.

Better than the hold-steady we were hearing last week. Still glad I don't have to deal with that 10.5 though :)

The Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday acquired defenseman Jordan Leopold from the St. Louis Blues for a fifth-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft......The Blues also recalled defenseman Chris Butler from Chicago of the American Hockey League. Butler leads Wolves defensemen with nine points (one goal, eight assists).
Yes..Butler has value again

fantrax actually did an update on this guy and I'm finally happy to hear he's doing something. This is my best chip received between the trade I made with Fraser:
Gillies stopped all 27 shots he faced in Providence University's 3-0 win

Gillies stopped all 27 shots he faced in Providence University's 3-0 win over the University of Vermont on Friday night.
Analysis: Gillies' record is just 4-4-1, but he has a 2.28 GAA and a .926 save percentage over his first nine starts. The Flames made a major push to sign Gillies over the summer, but he decided to return to the collegiate ranks for his junior year. At 6-5 and 215 pounds, Gillies has the size and athleticism to become a top goaltender at the NHL level. At this point, it would be a major surprise if the 2012 third-round pick returned to the Friars for his senior season.

I should have taken butler from you when you offered him up cheaply.

Butler's just a nice 'defensive' guy who does what he only knows how to do - block shots and hit and be a pylon during PK for as long as he can to eat up SHTOI

He's one of those "wayyyyy better fantasy player than he is real life" type, so yes he is sorta useful in our format to hold onto.

I honestly wouldn't take all of your 4 or 5 centremen you own right now for Gaudreau alone

I own 6 NHL Centermen! But seriously, that would be dumb. Gaudreau does nothing other than score. He is no more talented than yo momma.
