Slow horse. I recall offering multiple times for M. RICH
I remember being baffled when he turned down Henrique for Richards last season. If he gets picked up it should give him a little more value, but I don't think teams want that terrible contract.

That's going to be the thing the money he is owed long term kills what little value he has

richards is actually still a good player though. he'll be much better in a top 6 role on another team.

I'd think Sens, Flames, and then Jets (in that order). I think the waiver priority will come into play here.

I'll predict he goes unclaimed. Kings were probably offering him with salary retention with no takers so I don't think he will get claimed. Would make sense for a few teams though.

almost 30M owed over 5 years I can see him going unclaimed. I'm with Matt I'm sure the Kings were offering salary retention to try and get something back. Maybe they were asking too much of a return. Sure he could help some teams but at that price that's a big gamble so I say unclaimed

I guess I'm media bias. I say Sens because I live in Ottawa and media report Melnyk has the deep pockets and Murray wants to add offense to help Boobie Wyan.

Nah he's still too good to pass through. Worst case one of the bottom feeders with cap space should jump all over this. Someone of his calibre for nothing is unbelievable.

The kings need his whole cap hit gone so I doubt he was offered for retention. Probably ends up getting moved in a deal similar to Bourque's. He's 10x the player Bourque is.

5v5 pts per 60
Richards 1.27
Bozak 1.25
Clarkson 1.24

Ya contrary to popular belief he's actually still a good player. He was just in a more shut down role in LA. He's in better shape this year too. I'm confident he lands somewhere in a 2nd line role.

They;ve been offering him with other assets along with cap relief.
No one it taking on the full cap hit.
