Pretty much all of this was confirmed last night on sportsnet. They also said they need to determine if kessel is part of the long term plans.

Usually if you sign someone to a 8 year deal, they are part of your long term plans. Who are they going to replace his scoring with? Carter Ashton?

i think if you trade kessel you'll get back someone part of the long term plan.

If he is traded it sounds like (media makes it sound this way anyways) it would be too Nashville and Seth Jones would be the main player coming back.

Ah cool, so Seth Jones is going to magically start scoring 36 goals a year for us.
