May as well trade kessel too. By the time the draft pick is ready kessel will be around 30. Why not get 3 young pieces who can grow in value. Kessel is maxed out and the leafs aren't in the playoffs, so may as well ship him at max value and try to grow that value long-term.

The only thing that caused was us drafting kadri and not schenn. As of now it's a toss up.

Kadri is a bum - he never keeps his feet moving when he enters the offensive zone... he always glides which is why he rarely creates on his own. Kessel I agree isn't much better but he's a fantastic shooter and highly under-rated passer. I'd trade Kadri for whatever you can get now cause his value is not going to improve. He's already plateaued.
