Nick Bjugstad is a pretty big name, and ranked top 20 by almost everyone, not really a sleeper pick...

I'll be honest I was worried people would over-look Watson or Etem, both would have given me a tough decision... just dunno where their top end is truly at. Although both are much safer.
however, would anyone be shocked if the wild selected Nick @ #9 (or perhaps moved back 1-6 spots to do it) ?

well... perhaps the biggest boom or bust of the draft, Johnny McFarland is off the board.... he made me reconsider him with his combine results... he did work...
McFarland had simply an amazing combine.
1st in Anaerobic Fitness: Peak Power Output (watts/kg)
3rd in Anaerobic Fitness: Mean Power Output (watts/kg)
1st in Musculoskeletal: Standing Long Jump (in)
1st in Musculoskeletal: 4 Jump (Mat) Mode: Avg Jump Height (in)
7th in Musculoskeletal: Right Hand Grip (lb)
interesting to see who Luke grabs @ #21.

McFarland was a great pick, I can see the Caps picking him tonight.
McFarland could be as retarded as a donky but if he's playing for the CAPs all he'll have to do is finish everything put on his stick - fed by Ovey or Backstrom
What could be better for a guy with zero hockey sense but all the talent in the world?

The weirdest thing is that his lack of hockey IQ is inconsistent , as is his lack of intensity/commitment; up until this year he was regarded as skill+character+work. This is a kid who was considered for early entrance for the OHL, the Captain of the U18 (Ivanna hinka) gold medal winning team, just insane #'s in AAA. More touted then Taylor Hall, the only OHL player who is faster; however John did not enjoy the spot light and started to struggle.
One thing that I was struggling with, is that this was a terrible season for him, and drafting a player after a truly bad year is scary. But I felt like the a good season for others did not mean they would be better NHLers or better long term, though they would be much safer selections.

Wow haha. One of the guys I was thinking about at 20 is all but going fall into my lap at 28. It was a tad off the board at 20 but might be a steal at 28.
Stay tuned
and yes I realize there is still 4 picks before mine, but I'm confident.

Look elsewhere. It's mine as a result of this trade..
To Hartford:
Boston 1st in 2010 (28th Overall)
To Buffalo:
David Moss
Drew Shore
Team pages should always be updated. Mine is.

Topher has a hard-on for the WHL:
Nino
Emmerson
& Qunitin
No others in the top 60, no need for that 4th first I guess eh chris???
Big fast guys who play the game the right way... some questions about their hands/top-top end but literally locks for top 9.

since when are you a big WHL fan?
Kinda shocked this year Kareem... not a fan of some of the super-skilled guys outside of the CHL? or just think the price of picks was too high?

Not neccasarilly a WHL love in type thing, I just really like the players Topher took, explosive high ceiling guys, which is the exact approach I like to take. Hong by contrast took alot of safe picks, which I am not a fan of in the early rounds.

i guess all 3 have the same awesome traits as MSP and similar questions.
Excellent size
way above average fitness
heavy shots
& elite skaters
some big game invisibility
natural finish questioned (perhaps release is the right word)
and if they do take another step in their development, their speed + size makes them incredibly dangerous.

Anyone have Hong's list? Just wondering because if not there's no point in my rushing.
