There is no controversy with Fasth, he is the back-up.Peter wroteCOLONControversies a brewin' with both my goalies. At least they are currently both on the 'not sucking' ends of their tandems currently.
we'll see about thatMSP4LYFE wroteCOLONThere is no controversy with Fasth, he is the back-up.Peter wroteCOLONControversies a brewin' with both my goalies. At least they are currently both on the 'not sucking' ends of their tandems currently.
I've actually been keeping track of that one all week you guys are going at itgooker wroteCOLONDunno if anyone pays attention to bottom feeder matchups but lukes and my team are literally toe to toe...
I agree .. for now.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONThere is no controversy with Fasth, he is the back-up.Peter wroteCOLONControversies a brewin' with both my goalies. At least they are currently both on the 'not sucking' ends of their tandems currently.
Bruce Boudreau said as much himself, as well he should. The Ducks would be stupid to sit a proven elite starter because of a small sample size of games by an unproven goaltender.Peter wroteCOLONwe'll see about thatMSP4LYFE wroteCOLONThere is no controversy with Fasth, he is the back-up.Peter wroteCOLONControversies a brewin' with both my goalies. Small sample size is small... Hiller is no more an .880% starter than Fasth is a .933% starter.Shep wroteCOLONI agree .. for now.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONThere is no controversy with Fasth, he is the back-up.Peter wroteCOLONControversies a brewin' with both my goalies. It's going to be tough to keep going back to Hiller in this shortened season with the way the Ducks are rolling and how well Fasth has played.
(before tonight)
Hiller: 3.43 GAA and .880 SV%
Fasth: 1.78 GAA and .933 SV%
Believe me, I know he's the starter. But in a shortened season, Boudreau is crazy to not ride the hot goaltender for as long as possible.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONSmall sample size is small... I think you still win..8-7-1.Shep wroteCOLONMike Smith's performance today looks like it will cost me the week. What a fucking moron.
It wouldn't be the first time that a coach went with the proven starter, even to the detriment of the team. Frankly, I think the Ducks have more to lose by benching Hiller than they stand to gain by starting Fasth, but that is just my opinion.Shep wroteCOLONBelieve me, I know he's the starter.
