To be fair. #1 in aHL goals and points... It was coming. But fair comment. Young prospects always seems to do best on my bench.

This shit right here is why no one wants to play here.

5 minutes of being asked the same 2 questions.

I couldn't even listen to the whole thing. Kid is showing us such a difference from someone like Evander Kane and our media are literally trying to make it into something. 20min late and as spott said the first time ever with Naz, and on the day the freaking clocks changed? He doesn't mention a single excuse nor does he complain.

I mean... If management was chasing a playoff spot right now, no way does Naz take in a game from
The pressbox for this

Honestly, Kapg, you need to watch this shit before you say media isn't an issue in Toronto.

Bad Interview. But he made a mistake, and this is a 5 minute interview he has to do to rectify it. He is a grown up, this shouldnt affect his game. Saying the media is the reason the leafs have sucked the past 10 years is just making an excuse. Like others have said, there are plenty of great teams across the sports that likely get it as bad as or worse than the Leafs, and bring home championships. There are Soccer teams in the World whose lives and families get threatened, and they manage to perform.

the 14 people hovering over him with their recording devices asking the same stupid fucking question over and over again are also grown ups. that whole "interview" is such a pathetic sight, im genuinely embarrassed for all the media people involved.

breaking news: people are late sometimes. this is an issue a bunch of grown men should be able to get the fuck over.

You're right. They are acting like high school celebrity bloggers. That doesn't mean we can blame Toronto's lack of success on them. When the leafs go deep in the playoffs these same guys will be singing their praises. Also, lmao at that guy using his shitty phone to record the interview.

I think Leaf Management has just done a poor job at team building, and have been doing a poor job for a long time.

Management should just cut the players off from the media.

Now, with that said, our piss poor play is 100% on management and the players. The media isn't out there losing games.

I dont know. Anytime a player over sleeps and is a tiny bit late doesn't transition to hours of media needing to talk about it. Im losing interest in the leafs, and it's not because they suck, I actually enjoy the direction they've chosen. It's because of the negative attention the media portrays.

Bro in a way North America is weak sauce compared to euros in mental stability. We lead (can/usa) the world in workplace depression rate except for maybe Sweden. Those guys r super depressing

Your generation raised their parents to be that way.

We're in the "participation trophy" generation. God forbid if crush a kid's hopes and dreams because you don't have the stones to acknowledge someone is actually better than them. One of the greatest lessons I ever learned from my dad when I was playing little league baseball...no matter how good you think you are, there's always someone better. It's nature...the average child isn't the best at something and instead of lying to your kids and saying their shit doesn't stink...push them to become better and always strive to be better. We are capable of so much more if you dig deep enough.

To build a competitive person comes from learning how to overcome your weaknesses and how to improve and to not get fat and lazy and to eventually figure out how to best those in your competitive field...be it in school or sports or the workplace. I think the internal competition with yourself is as important as being competitive with others. Telling a kid their whole life that you're a snowflake and you're unique and special teaches them nothing about living in a world where you will get humbled and embarrassed. If you insulate them from reality...they won't know how to react when they run into actual conflict.
