HELP!!!!!!! To All Our Friends and family Out There! Scott Smith my son has been missing for over a month now...so far he has had NO contact with any friends or family. He is 34yrs old and a lot thinner than in this picture(maybe even as much as a 100lbs thinner.. I am beyond worried about him I can't imagine what has happened as I know the rest of my son's family and friends are as worried about him as well. If anyone see, hears, knows of his where abouts ... Wow, that is insane. Pretty sure he had some mental health issues in his past. Hopefully all is well. Didnt he lose his father last year also?

ya, he had a rough go, divorce/seperation, lost his old man, and a few other things.
and all i could find for missing persons report is what his family said on facebook, they filed a canada wide missing persons report because he's been gone a month.

Damn didn't know he got divorced, last I heard from him he said he just had a kid.
Mentioned lots of times to me that he and his buddies used to do a lot of cocaine when they went to Vegas

I believe he had some issues with hard drugs as well. This is really sad after reading that FB post. :/

Wow...the Pens fans on HF are going to lose their S. They were penciling him as Malkin's winger.
So if he signs, he's potentially a cheaper top 6 or 9 option for when they'll have to trade someone like Sharp in the offseason.

8. Expect KHL free-agent Artem Panarin to sign with Chicago as soon as Wednesday. Panarin, who led league champion St. Petersburg in scoring, chose the Blackhawks because he’s seen similar players thrive there.
Calgary, Montreal, Pittsburgh and Toronto all made strong pitches. Sounds like the Flames — who heavily pursued him — were closest, but with so many small, talented forwards already in position (Sam Bennett, Johnny Gaudreau, Markus Granlund, Jiri Hudler), Panarin thought that might be too many.
so this appears to be done!
Almost 4yrs later
I drafted him in the 7th round of the 2011 Entry Draft, a few NHL teams figured out he deserves a NHL contract and eventually fought each other to get him.
It would feel even better if the management in Pittsburgh somehow had not failed to sign the guy despite having the luxury to offer him a spot on Malkin's line and on their top PP unit, where he would have been a perfect fit.
He will also have more competition for a spot in Chicago, but anyway, time to enjoy the fact that he is finally coming over.

Just a quick update on my son Scott... his brother and sister have located him and are with him right now. That much is such a relief. The whole family just really wanted to express our appreciation to everyone who shared/cared/etc... The thoughts and messages sent meant a lot. Thank you very much.
