Yeah, Cole has had just as bad of injuries...problem with Franzen has been it's all concussions. I don't remember any major body injuries. He's been out for a while with some nasty concussions. The Wings could've definitely used Cole against that massive blue line of Tampa Bay. That series turned around when they got Abdelkader back. They were thrown around in those first two games. The Wings definitely aren't as big as the Lightning and they didn't appear to be quicker than them either.

Franzen probably could keep playing but the concussions might do him in.

Auston Matthews is going to play in Switzerland next year for ZSC...coached by Marc Crawford. Might be a different way to get him pro ready...spurns Everett and a few NCAA programs.
