Paul Byron for a 3rd is beginning to pay off. He has finally gotten himself into the montreal lineup lately, and he is producing.

What Lil' Bert did was unnecessary but where were his teammates and more importantly, what were the officials doing?

Why is it on the Marlies and officials to make sure Bertuzzi isn't an idiot?

It's on the officials mostly. You're not going to stop him from throwing a couple jabs in a scrum but how many times does Kapanen need to get cuffed in the face and dropped to the ice before someone grabs Bertuzzi? Not taking the heat off Bertuzzi but that went on long enough for an official not to step in and prevent what could've been a worse situation for Kapanen. It shouldn't have gotten to the point where Kapanen got thrown the ice.

I dont think anyone really cares about the jabs...that happens. It is the slew footing. You cant stop a guy who is gonna slew foot someone. He crossed the line.

You're 100% right Scott but still not sure why that's on anyone other than Bertuzzi, not sure how we can say that a players bad behavior is linked the referee's inability to stop him, Bert should know better on his own without having a striped jersey step in to stop him.

Team mates were being held back by officials. Carrick and Sosh were trying to get to Bert.

And there were only 3 officials pretty much every professional league uses 4.
