I had actually bought into the whole Cam Talbot being the oilers saviour in net, but his numbers through the first chunk of games are just as bad or worse than scrivens numbers as an oiler. What a bloody goalie graveyard that place is.

Last I saw was sent down for "Conditioning" so I'd imagine it has the purpose of sending a message

NYI had big expectations for him this year starting him on the top line. They were unhappy with his play without the puck. Meant to be a wake up call.

A bad NHL deal isnt necessarily a bad BBKL deal. He is a stud in this format.

If they sign him for under 4 million a year...I'll tolerate the deal. There's no reason to sign him that long at an inflated cap number.

It's not the cap hit that makes it a bad deal it's the term. If it were a 4 year deal it wouldn't be as bad. I saw a post on Twitter last night and offensively he is pretty much Clarkson.

$4.25M x 7 incase anyone is wondering what the numbers being referenced are.


I think both are very high for the player. He fits well but that's of benefit to him too, way too many players seem to miss the importance of that to their own career & playing time. He should be asking for a $3M x6year deal, this is too long and quiet a bit too much cap, IMO.

Why ask for 18 million when you can get 30 million?
