Watching the DET vs PHX game last night... In some stupid sports net pool GF and I have howard, score is 2-0 in the 2nd and she says, " oh we're going to get a shutout"... DET loses 5-2.


Hockey gods are cruel but they likely knew I wanted to shutout Kareem with the first 16-0 of the season.

It's kind of sad Kareem doesn't care as much anymore. This league was at its most active when Kareem was talking shit.

Aside from a few occasions his approach to the league was a huge value add - very good GM, awesome BBKL member and fun to talk hockey with - he'll come back around, a lull should almost be expected over a 5+ year period. LOL

I'm not certain, just don't remember having one.

Remember I wasn't a top team the first couple years, just a first round pick factory.

injuries had a key role in the matchup vs the Devils.. Erskine ended up missing the whole week, JJ got injured in the 1st game with 3 more to go on the week, Gaborik got the flu.. but Bergey probably had it worse with Ballard and Kronwall adding up during the week to Nash missing.

Still, stupid Holtby came to play this week and made it a close one, I barely got the W in the end.
