Hey guys, perhaps we should allow the CC to monitor this as they see fit? No idea why this is anyone's business except Aidan and the CC

It's been an ongoing discussion for some time in the CC. A series of warnings will be posted in the very near future for a number of members.

You misunderstand. I am not defending Aidan. He has been a substandard GM and has more than earned his warning points so far, which I have wholeheartedly supported. I will support another warning and unless things change I will absolutely support removal.

What I am defending is the system we use to decide these things. What amazes me is that many of the same people who cry "tyranny!" are the first people to call for circumvention of our rules.

No, that would be silly. But, I feel like more reasons to hand out "warnings" should be put in place. Lack of activity over a long long period should receive multiple strikes. GMs have a responsibility to at least READ pms. I'm not even saying respond. Read lol. That's a responsibility of owning a team here. Like if Nick offered Crosby to Aidan for Backstrom, he wouldn't be around to improve his team by accepting a trade that good. Right now a GM will send out an offer to Aidan and it may not get read till 3 weeks from now. It's like COL doesn't even have a GM but a babysitter who is watching TV instead of doing his job instead.

One thing I will say is that maybe Aidan has something personal going on. If he does, then all of this is completely unfair to him.

We're understanding of situations like that. We did it for Mash, for you Mike, for me, for a couple of others. That's actually okay, because it means in the future he will be active.

If he does not though (and no one has made anyone aware of that) then IMO he already has 3 strikes.

Guys Aidan has received a warning, Mike has not given him any extra lee-way at all, another warning is in the works. but just like many of you are busy, so are the CC. it takes time to do these things correctly, and it's not fun. It's been a total pain getting everything organized this year and to have GMs taking shots as if there is some single ruler deciding who is a GM and who is not is simply unfair.

This place is supposed to be fun, please don't assume an admin or CC is benefiting from putting the time in to make this place work, it makes these boring tasks that much worse.

The CC is a great functional group, we make sure to give things due discussion. Letting a GM find legs in the league like this takes time. It's frigging ruthless, and a slow response or not being comfortable results in guys asking for your removal only makes it tougher.

if you have any questions about the GM removal process please shoot me a PM, I'd be willing to discuss.

The hit was pretty dirty

Our D would be lost without Dion, but he certainly makes a few bonehead decisions over the course of a week.

In person means minimum of 5. Phone hearings mean a maximum of 5. Phaneuf and Neal had phone interviews and Thorton has an in person.

Damm, after a nice injury free week, the injury bug has hit again, and looks like I will be going into week 11 with my normal 2-3 injured players for the week..
