IMO a special circumstance exemption is called for - I doubt the NHL punishes a team for a player needing leave for this situation. Unless someone objects, i would suggest an LitR situation without the 3weel minimum.

I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the rest of the season off. Not sure what I would do if I was in the same situation ... I'd be a basket-case

Same thing happened to Andres Iniesta recently. Terrible

We had our own scare before my daughter was born, then my brother-in-law had something similar to Stajan's situation last year ... very emotionally taxing. Things still aren't completely back to normal in their household. Saying I feel bad for Matt is a huge understatement ... I'd definitely take the rest of the season off. Not like Calgary has a shot this year anyhow.
