it's been a few weeks since we had a trade.

surprised that very few talks are on-going.

Yeah it's been a while since anything, even an offer, came across my table.

Meh, nothing wrong with a break in the action. Proposed something to the CC RE: Draft , but not heard any input yet.

I know I've been active on the trading front sending out many offers. Receiving many inquiries as well. Also just completed that trade with Nick a couple of days ago. There's definitely some action. It helps when you put quality players up as available too.

i have no block, so that coudl be the issue. But as lee said, it's that time of the year, i dont mind a slow period. It's nice just to talk and post about hockey, rather than try and trade.

Well said.

For me I took a good long break after the Olympics up until about 2-3 weeks ago with regards to trade talks and what not.

Whats the old saying? Early bird gets the worm? Im trying to be that early bird with regards to snagging some quality talent. Prices are only going to go up as the summer progresses.

That's pretty much the exact reason why i'm holding off. There's a good chance i move one of my dmen before next season (as i have 9 very good/young dmen). But the closer we get to the reg season the more people will be willing to meet my prices. Guys tend to offer more when games are about to be played and it benefits their roster. So until then i'll be holding onto Bogo, Fowler, Carlson, Brodie, McD, or Rielly (wont be moving the last 2 at all).
