1st rounders are always controversial because they have a higher probability to land an impact player, but also have a chance to not be a big difference maker. Teams are also 20 players so having 5 top end players isn't going to make your team good if the rest of it is still shit, which can be seen with Dallas. I don't think that's the best way to build a team since you are never going to have a team of 20 high picks (Lee is trying to disprove this haha) trades have to be made and you need to use cap space and prospects to your advantage to win trades to improve your team.

I think I had 8 1sts between '14 and '15 when I took over Buffalo and if I kept them all and continued to sell off players for picks like Phion was doing I think I'd be a long way from even sniffing the playoffs and now I think I can make some noise in 2 seasons.
