It's a really good offer for a team not in his situation. Contracting assets for a 31 yr old and 29 yr old is risky given how long before he can compete. Maybe if they were 25/26.

seems to be the most logically way to go about it these days.

make an offer and if rejected, meh, move on.

Not a very impressive draft + 1 year, hasn't improved his offence much and is nowhere near the pace put up by the top OHL scorers. Perlini's likely going to play in the OHL another year and TT is already an NHLer who is now starting to play more minutes and getting time on the PP and 2nd line.
If Perlini wasn't hurt this year, he would be top 10 scoring with his current PPG pace. He's is also 6'3, 205. He is an elite level prospect at his size.

Ya around Bertuzzi, Tolchinsky, Cassels, McCann, Verhaeghe and behind a bunch of younger guys and people drafted later. He is still a good prospect, but could also end up like a lesser version of Nash who has size, but no periphs. Just didn't see how he can be considered better than a player already seeing 2nd line minutes and PP time in the NHL and receiving praise for his improvement. Even HF has TT 8B and Perlini 7.5C I know that doesn't mean much, but I think it's a fairly common opinion that TT is considered a better prospect, which was the only reason I commented when you stated Perlini is a better prospect.

HF is a joke and the opinion posted there should be taken with a grain of salt.

To be fair to Lee, Teravainen has only PP time in like 4 games this year, and may not have even that if Kane were Healthy.

Then Nick comes in, says he's going to offer the world and top all and any offers, only to offer something like Rielly Smith + Pysyk for the pair and is confused to why Mr.lightanddark thinks it's a bad offer.

does paul stastny still have value? not trying to be snarky, legitimately asking.

he's an anchor contract no? 7 million for like 4 more years? average production?

Producing wise he's been great for me. 19 mins a night. 10 fow. 2 pp and 1.50 pk time.

He seems to have quite a bit of value.
