Hindsight is 20/20. For the record, he was worth a lot more. He put up amazing stats in the games he played.

He left the game for 2 years and came back. Maybe his heart wasn't in it any more.

He had nice hits, bs & shtoi. that weren't reliable because 1) he could be scratched any night, and 2) he could be back in the AHL the moment a coach opened his eyes.



I agree hindsight is 20/20. However a player's value is based on a whole bunch of perceptions, telling everyone else they are wrong and continuing to have them on the block for trade at a value only you have, doesn't make sense. If you think he's better than everyone else does, than he's clearly not on trade block (my own example, of course, is Gardiner). Blue & White goggles on full tint.

So what. It just means u failed as gm to read his projections/whether or not this was a temporary spike in value thus didn't jump on the best offer u gotten (ie 1st round pick from shiv) and just lost out on selling that asset at peak value. U thought he was gonna become fuckin #1dman lol

I took Ranger off the block when it was clear that I wasn't going to get fair value for him, Gagner is approaching that status as well.

He had 5 more goals
He had 4 more points
He had 39 more shots * career high
he had 5 more ppg
he had 30 more hits *career high

I've already admitted I was wrong by dropping him last week.

In hindsight, he didn't play another game after that season and had gone on to shit up the NLA.

That doesn't change the fact that he had great stats in the NHL during his tenure and was worth more, in my opinion, than what was being offered.

I said outright that I'd rather lose him for nothing than trade him for less that I think he is worth.

If the same happens with Gagner, than so be it, but I won't be strong armed into trading someone for less than I think the are worth.
