Its not that no one tries to get the best of every deal, but some start so far apart that the process of even countering doesn't make sense. Being asked for Laughton+Ehlers+Ritchie+ for a bottom line forward for example is not a good way to start talks if you want me to come back with a reasonable counter. Asking for Laughton for a forward at least is something to work with, though I'd still reject it most likely. It's being able to demonstrate you are trying to make something happen that benefits both sides that needs to occur, otherwise its a waste of time like KapG said.Robin Hood wroteCOLONIt's funny.
