Matthew wroteCOLONI understand the sustainability question, but I figure given that he has paced 4 37 point seasons already by 24 yrs old, he will at least put up a few more, and could even improve, given most Dmen dont even enter the league until 23-24 yrs old. He is young enough that I could wait until he slaughters a season and then move him, even if he has a couple down seasons here and there. To me, his possible upside is just as great as his possible downside. And for the price of a player that wont make any impact in the league for 2 or 3 years, that works for me. I also think I could move him for more than i paid before next season begins.
I'm assuming you are projecting out for 82 games because he has only paced 37+ twice.

a pace is a projection, yes. His pace over 82 games.

So which is it? Do you like Del Zotto or not? lol!
Well certainly not for the price that Matthew proposed flipping him to me at one point, but theres no doubting he produced big time this year, so the potential is there for him to do it again. I don't like him long term in Philly, but it wouldn't surprise me if he's a top 40 defenseman in BBKL next year.

Problem with that is that he has only gotten 70+ games twice minus the lockout season. He's a solid piece though provided he stays in Philly. If Streit gets moved and they keep Del Zotto he will get a nice boost to his value.

Because prospects and picks are worthless when McDavid in fact is a prospect?

Matt Nieto [W]
Linus Soderstrom [G]
2016 1st rounder {VAN}
2016 3rd rounder [ANA]
2015 7th rounder [ANA]

It isn't terrible. At the moment, Nieto and Yakupov are comparable. Yakupov will likely be better in the future, but so will the 1st he got and Schmaltz. If Schmaltz becomes a 60 point center for Patrick Kane, then Darkness probably wins the cycle.

Nobody knows what this cycle is going to look like yet because he has turned it into Krug and like 20 prospects and incomplete. McDavid alone gets him to what the 2nd worst roster in the league? What would you have done if what he has done is so awful?

What it comes down to is the timing of the deals and the potential loss in value that time alone could have brought him. Off the top of my head the core that Peter was building was shaping up to be something like.
McDavid
Reinhart
Barkov
Lazar
MDC
Teravainen
Bennett
Baertschi
Hamilton
Lindholm
Pouliot
Murphy
Schneider
That core should have gotten better over time, and I think people are questioning the timing of sending a lot of these guys packing more than anything.

That's fair, but that still equates to likely being a bottom 3rd team even assuming growth over time. Honestly, he can't really make this team any worse than what he inherited lol!

No, but you can waste asset value, which has been happening IMO.

Yeah too bad theres a GP limit I have to hit as well huh Thanks Pete. Still baffled how taking a single pick in turning it into multiple NHL players and picks and prospects is bad much less some guys changing their minds depending what hour of the day is. I got this thanks

If you have to actually say you are right then you are wrong and Shiv who sells off his whole team then quits and Fraser who say Deangelo was equal to FF......oh boy what role models there. For someone who knows so much how da fuck do you manage to fuck your teams up all da time sir?
