that's a solid pick.Radiohead wroteCOLONMcBain could have a big year.
well, we will see if that's the case (this is with reference to the top 3 i mentioned, my other 2 guys are obviously longshots to even earn consideration).facey wroteCOLONLOL... no euro bias there at all eh Kyuss?
He was my preseason prediction outside of the HUGE named rookies.facey wroteCOLONShattenkirk & Fowler need to be in that discussion as well... both over 20min per game and already earned #1 PP on their respective clubs. and putting up serious points from the back end. Aside from the #'s both have looked unreal.
Not to be a huge own-player plugger, but Hall has been awesome the past 2 weeks, 6 goals, 2 of the game winning variety in his last 8 games... up to #2 for rookie goals... and was 3rd star in the NHL last week. If his play from the past month continues he'll walk into the award.
Couture as current ROY, but its far from locked up. Carlsson's play of late has dipped IMO.
I agree with your Carlson assessment thus far. The kid's logging huge minutes and doesn't look out of place at all. Sometimes they even play Carlson over Green on the PP (injuries, not offensively where he should be). Carlson's play has been getting better lately if you ask me.. and I watch a TON of Caps games.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONNick, Carlon's best game of the season was a few days ago...Near 25 minutes, with a ton of ES and STHOI played. He has been exceptionally reliable since, averaging around 20+ minutes a night on a team that is top 3 in hockey.
As for predictions, I think Hamonic is going to make a dent when all is said and done.
couldn't agree more Kareem. Carlson has also been used in a shut down role on many occasions, his defensive game has been far above fowler or shattenkirks. I think there are three favorites then a large gap right now. Things change but as of now it has to be between Shattenkirk/Carlson/Couture.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONNick, Carlon's best game of the season was a few days ago...Near 25 minutes, with a ton of ES and STHOI played. You know what I take what I said before back, there really isn't a gap, IMO. There are too many players that are very close right now, some are more impressive than others, but it's not a big difference: Couture, Skinner, Carlson, Fowler, Ennis, Hall, Shattenkirk etc. There is a big race this season.bryshook wroteCOLONcouldn't agree more Kareem.
