I wouldn't imagine why we wouldn't mimic the new lottery system. We've always mimicked the NHL lottery results in past years.

It's going to be a very interesting draw this year. I really hope it's not chalk...to see a team outside the top 5 or 10 sneak into the top 3 would be kinda cool. As long as I get #1 of course.

To look at the odds another way since Dallas owns 3 lottery picks, the true odds of getting #1 overall:

Dallas 22.5%
Detroit 20%
Winnipeg 11.5%
Arizona 9.5%
New Jersey 8.5%
San Jose 7.5%
Winnipeg 6%
Vancouver 5%
Florida 3.5%
Edmonton 3%
Toronto 2%
Columbus 1%

If Dallas wins Mcdavid + Matthews he would be the bbkl version of the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL.

Has anyone won multiple 1sts in bbkl since it inception?

I'll just say this right now, I'm not trading my pick...I intend to make a selection. But I'm not saying I won't trade the guy I draft.

The draft order will come into shape after today. Picks 15-26 will be determined after these next playoff eliminations.

The order for playoff teams (rounds 1-7) based on the first two rounds of eliminations:

15. St. Louis
16. Tampa Bay
17. Vancouver
18. Montreal
19. Calgary
20. Colorado
21. Washington
22. Pittsburgh
23. Nashville
24. Boston
25. Chicago
26. Buffalo

I thought 15-22 was based on first round exits, 23-26 based on 2nd round exits and 27-30 for 3rd round exits + runner up + champ. Maybe I'm just confusing it with the past rule.

15-26 is reverse standings order of all teams to lose from the first 2 rounds combined. So if a bottom seed gets lucky and wins one round but then gets stomped in the 2nd round they still keep their higher draft spot. 27+28 are the semi finals losers, 29 the finals loser, 30 the champ.
