Atm I could have as many as 12 defensemen in the NHL this season... :?

But more likely 8 or 9.

Could move one of my depth dmen for a winger.

Depth:
Daley - despres
Del zotto - emelin
Oduya - stoner
Nikitin - bartley
Oleksiak - clendening
Kostka - cumiskey
Morrissey

Not going there again. He was part of the offer.

It's better than I began with: we can't all be gifted all-star teams.

I think you mean my backup, don't believe I own any of your players.

Magical possession of a C. Ideally Carolina removing the stupid idea of Eric Staal being a winger, & San Jose finally admitting Hertl is a C.

If not lucky, than deal a young exciting winger or prospect for a scoring C.

In adding to a player who is within reasonable odds of scoring the same, costing less cap, just entering prime vs exiting....

Plek drops down to 2nd line this year if Galy makes the switch habs fans are dreaming of, how much do his points drop? Gets a raise next year despite that (market is def higher) - suddenly in an all too plausible situation I've got the older, lower impact and losing value player, and you would have me add another piece to that deal. If anything I'll wait a month and reoffer it to you with an add on your side.

Two home runs I'm looking to pull off. And they could potentially be a part of a single deal. In either a 1 for 2, or 2 for 3 scenario I'm looking to increase my depth by downgrading a winger and/or Dman. Getting a player in their position back and something else at the NHL level. Ideally I'm getting at least one bargain of a cap hit player in this deal and/or a waiver exempt player.

Downgrade. Cut Cap. Increase depth. That is what I'm looking to do.

Robin Hood wroteCOLONMy home run trade would be moving landing another d-man while moving one my wingers (Talbot, Garbutt, Lewis, Clifford)

Is your home run trade one where you get a winger like that for a d-man? If yes, please PM me. I am looking for a 1-for-1 offer only.
Something around Lewis and Reilly may not be out of the question. Let me assess if the 4 beers I've had is too much to make this sort of decision.

Already been stated that Pleks will continue to play the top line this year. Gally is centering Eller and Semin on the 2nd line to start the year. Obviously subject to change as the year goes on but that much has been decided to start the year.
